Simi Ibom Air video reaction sparks public debate as the singer demands sanctions for staff who shared the unedited footage of Comfort Emmanson

Simi Ibom Air video comments have sparked strong public reactions as the Nigerian singer demands accountability for the viral video that exposed a female passenger’s nudity during a controversial flight incident.

Taking to her Instagram story, Simi expressed outrage over the circulation of the unedited footage showing passenger Comfort Emmanson being dragged off an Ibom Air flight.

The clip, which showed her indecently exposed, was posted online without blurring her private parts — a violation Simi believes is just as serious as the behavior Emmanson is being condemned for.

“Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, recorded her being exposed like that, and then posted it without editing out this exposure,” Simi wrote.

Comfort Emmanson had earlier refused to turn off her phone during takeoff on Ibom Air Flight Q153, leading to a confrontation with the flight crew and ground staff.

I want to know who posted that video and why no one is holding them accountable.

She was eventually removed from the plane, and footage of the scene quickly went viral across social media platforms.

While much of the online discourse has focused on Emmanson’s behavior, Simi is calling attention to what she described as “another madness” the public release of a video that violated the woman’s privacy.

“You cannot condemn one madness and leave another one,” she said.

“Voluntarily posting her half-naked for millions of people to see when less than 10 people actually witnessed it in person deserves punishment too.”

Simi’s comments have reignited debate around digital ethics, consent, and privacy violations, especially in cases involving public incidents.
