Some unknown gunmen suspected to be IPOB’s Eastern Security Network (ESN) have killed two soldiers of the Nigerian Army in Enugu State.

The troops were killed on Tuesday at Adani community of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of the state as they tried to repel Eastern Security Network (ESN) gun attack, Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu confirmed this in a statement.

Part of the statement read: ” Sadly, during the firefight that ensued, two soldiers paid the supreme price.

Nwachukwu urged the public to provide useful information on the fleeing gunmen to the force.

“We assure the general public of our commitment to provide adequate security in the general area in collaboration with other security agencies.
