Primecare Hospital denies King Mitchy’s death, confirming she was never admitted and warns against spreading false social media rumours

Primecare Hospital in Abuja has publicly refuted reports claiming that popular Nigerian content creator Mukoro Michelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, died at its facility.

In a statement shared on its official Instagram page on Saturday, the hospital described the circulating claims as entirely false, emphasising that King Mitchy was never admitted to its Abuja branch and did not pass away there.

“Prime Care Hospitals management wishes to inform the public that the announcement regarding the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our Abuja facility is false. King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” the statement read.

The denial follows widespread speculation on social media regarding King Mitchy’s alleged death, which gained traction amid an online feud involving controversial personality VeryDarkMan.

The situation intensified after VeryDarkMan reacted to claims that King Mitchy had ingested a substance identified as “Hypo.”

Confusion escalated when King Mitchy’s management team reportedly announced her passing—an assertion now contradicted by Primecare Hospital.

Primecare Hospital stated it is taking the matter seriously and has engaged relevant authorities to trace the source of the misinformation.

Legal action will be pursued against anyone found responsible for spreading what the hospital described as damaging and false claims.

“We are working with authorities to investigate the source of this misinformation and will take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. Please verify information through our official channels before sharing,” the hospital said.

The incident underscores the speed at which unverified news spreads on social media and the reputational risks such claims pose to both individuals and institutions.

Conflicting statements continue to circulate, highlighting the importance of relying on verified sources before sharing sensitive information.
