Aliyu said that the police had designed critical programmes that involved schools via sports and literature and town hall meetings to discuss security challenges in communities.

He noted that during such meetings, communities involved would tell their sincere observation about police practices in their areas.

“We want to engage the youth who are the main target to work with the police, by so doing, they will shun social vices and crime reduction,” he said.

In her speech, Mrs Nana Dahiru advised all “parents to watch what their children and wards do at their spare time”.

Also, Chief Bolaji Adigun, Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee FCT, noted that community policing was a way of being responsible and been accountable to the community.
